Creative Experiments
All work categorized as "Creative Experiments" are most times formed with no concept. I allow my mind to wander and in the process formwork that I sometimes can not recreate. These works do not have a fixed style and can take many forms.
I'm an art addict
This design was completed on 19th December 2019. I consider the design a statement. As someone that appreciates art, I felt inspired to write a quote but I wanted it to have more of my personality. I like cartoons very much so I felt making the quote a little animated would be the most aesthetically pleasing.
I chose a wooden background because I was inspired by a menu board as I passed a fast-food stand called Moes Southern Grill. The picture on the menu board had a wooden table with sliced up onions, lettuce and other vegetables arranged horizontally on it. I liked how their quote blended with the wooden table and I wanted my design to have the same effect

The Expressionist
This design was completed on 11th December 2019. I named it "the expressionist" on a whim but the name fits the design. Looking at it longer, it represents human creativity to me. It is as if he is imagining his world and that is something we can all do.
I had been thinking of making this design for a couple of weeks... I planned to use the planet shaped picture( it was formed from Journey 3 photo) then attach it to a face. I was initially struggling to draw a face that would go with the planet image, but then I realized a simple drawing of a person in a shirt would do.
The background image was formed by experimenting with a filter in GIMP.
My roommate, Alex Lin, gave me the suggestion of using the image as a background if not, I probably wouldn't have used it at all.

The Journey 3 image was used to create these two new images.
Rain/unnamed
This design was completed on 8th November 2019. I found a raindrop overlay on the photoshop express app that complements the image, so this was the end result.

I also used the invert filter on photoshop express to form the image to the left. It gives this horror aesthetic that I really enjoy.
Letters?
VERSION 1
Completed 24th May 2019
What inspired this design was my piece, "Abstract Shapes and Robot Arms". I believe the title, "Letters?" is a fitting name for this design. This is a visual illusion that when the eye focuses on, an individual will see many alphabets. My intention was to spell "Dukiri arts" through drawing. This was a success but what I later realized was that other alphabets could also be seen by different individuals.
